E-Learning as Development
2005-12 - 2006-12
E-Learning as Development - Project cooperation with the United Nations University. During December 2005 the Norwegian Research Council and University of Bergen funded a research visit to the United Nations University headquarters in Tokyo, Japan. The goals of the visit were to explore greater cooperation in terms of the use of E-Learning as a tool for development aid. This meeting was extremely positive and identified several areas of shared interest and cooperation.
Specifically:
- Open Source and Open Content within E-Learning to Support the Educational Infrastructure of Least Developed Countries. - Culturally Sensitive Design of E-Learning systems and Courseware to maximise reuse of learning objects for diverse international student populations.
